It Has Been Far Too Long

Well, its been a few years since I have made time to sit down and type. A lot has happened for me, and I assume everyone else as well. I make no excuses I just allowed this experiment of mine to take a back burner to grinding out hours at work to get ready for retirement, blah, blah, blah.

Terri and I are still going strong. A few years ago we spend 30 days roaming Europe! Truly an epic, epic adventure and I am so glad I got to share it with her. There are a few examples on this page of mine of past trips that I never got around to writing about so I won't bore the Universe with another.

Time has a way of reminding how just how fragile we are, how fragile life is, how short life is. Friends get sick, family gets sick, pets, all of it sucks, all of it. But, it is in these distressed moments that the simple beauty in life begins to shimmer, the pure unadulterated absurdity of it all shines through. It is the simple fact that life is fleating and fragile that makes it so bloody special.

I have deleted the Members Section from the page as it turns out it was just a huge spam magnet. Retirement is within sight at this point, though the exact date has not been set. Perhaps, once we are freely in the wind I will dedicate the time to truly make this page work and we can bring that back online.

Speaking of retirement I have been piecing together then plan to roam North America in a van. My entire life I have longed to be fully nomadic, but with comfort. I have spent many, many nights sleeping on the ground, in the cold, the rain, the rocky. With a little more hard work those cold, wet, rocky nights will be a thing of the past. Currently looking at the Tahome E from OVP Vans. Travling with pups takes a bit more roam and my desire to be well removed takes a bit more van. That van fits the bill beautifully. It won't happen for abit, but stay tuned.
